The Unforgettable Day That 2Pac Gave Jay Z A Pass

During the so called East Coast West Coast War in Hip Hop one of the ways that you picked a side was dependent on whom you were associated with.

This was definitely the case when it came to 2Pac going at Jay Z. Given Jay Z’s affiliation with Biggie and featuring him on his Reasonable Doubt album.

On the album Jay Z has Biggie on the song Brooklyn’s Finest and Biggie disses 2Pac on the song. With that being said, it would only be a matter of time before 2Pac sought an opportunity to get at Jay Z in person.

SUGE KNIGHT SAVES JAY Z

Diddy’s former bodyguard Gene Deal alleges this opportunity came when 2Pac found out about a Jay Z  doing a concert.

Gene deal alleges that Jay Z had to make several phone calls to get 2Pac to fall back so that he could go and do his show.

Ultimately it was Suge Knight who calmed the quarrel and told 2Pac to let Jay Z be.

WISE MOVE BY JAY Z

Some may say that Jay Z was scared of 2Pac, but was he really? Jay Z’s out on the West Coast doing a show promoting his album Reasonable Doubt and 2Pac shows up at his hotel with most likely Mob Piru gang affiliates, what is he supposed to do?

Looking back in hindsight we can all say that Jay Z did the wisest thing by reaching out to people who could contact Suge Knight to calm the quarrel before it went to an extreme, do you agree?
