Michael Jai White Exposes Snoop Dogg And Ice Cube False Gangster Image

Actor and martial artist Michael Jai White was on Vlad TV and he called out Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube, basically for not being who they said they were in their records, gangsters.

MICHAEL JAI WHITE’S LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIP HOP

It’s no secret that Michael Jai White has what some may call, a love hate relationship with Hip Hop.

Michael Jai White has spoken about this in other interviews that in spite of his love for the Hip Hop music genre on “a lot of levels,” that he cannot “in good [conscience]” have a positive opinion on Hip Hop or “excuse some of [its] pervasive and destructive elements,” mainly due to his experience with youngsters who had difficulty seeing the difference between the music and real life.

In the Vlad TV interview clip, Michael Jai White states that one may of thought that Snoop Dogg was a stone cold, pistol whipping gangster when he first came out, but now we see that’s not the case because he’s revealed who he truly is. That is, he’s not a gangster.

How much of a gangster Snoop Dogg was, can be up for debate. However, when Snoop Dogg was a teenager he had frequent run in with the laws. It’s stated that he was a member of the Rollin’ 20’s Crips gang in the Eastside neighborhood of Long Beach, California.

After Snoop Dogg graduated high school in 1989, he was arrested for possession of cocaine and subsequently, for the next 3 years, he was frequently incarcerated, including at Wayside Jail in California.

MICHAEL JAI WHITE EXPOSES ICE CUBE

Michael Jai White also names Ice Cube as one of the rappers who are not who you think they were.

In Michael Jai White’s defense Ice Cube did attend William Howard Taft High School in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles. Ice Cube was bused 40 miles from his home in a high crime neighborhood to this suburban high school.

At 19 years old Ice Cube graduated with a diploma in architectural drafting from the Phoenix Institute of Technology in Arizona. Though he would return from phoenix and rejoined NWA, he kept a career in architecture drafting as a backup plan.

However, to Ice Cube defense he’s come out and said that he wasn’t a gangster, but a smart guy who grew up around it and rapped about what he saw.
