Diddy: The Friendless Billionaire

It’s been said that when you’re on top, your friends know who you are and when you’re at the bottom you know who your friends are.

Diddy isn’t at the bottom financially speaking, but he’s definitely getting to know who his friends are.

Prior to November 2023, Diddy was a hot ticket. It seemed like he was on top of the world. New Grammy nominated album, Off The Grid.

He was reportedly making upwards of $60 million annually from Cîroc Vodka since 2007, not to mention his other multi million dollar liquor partnership, Deleon with Diageo.

And the year prior he had been announced a billionaire, joining Jay Z to become a Hip Hop billionaire as well.

WHERE ARE DIDDY’S FRIENDS?

The list of Diddy’s accolades were constantly mounting from receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards, to receiving the Global Icon Award at the VMA’s and numerous other achievements. Diddy was truly living up to his motto, “Can’t stop, won’t stop.”

With so much continuous success, one couldn’t imagine it coming to a halt. However, the tide shifted and Diddy’s movement has not been the same since November 16th when Cassie filed a sexual assault lawsuit against the billionaire.

And Diddy having friends in high places, no one came to his defense. No one. And in the Hip Hop community it’s been pretty much the same. No one casting stones, but no one really defending the man. It seems like everyone is playing it safe and being politically correct.

For example, this is what rapper and friend of Diddy Ja Rule said when asked about the Diddy situation on Piers Morgan Uncensored (view video above).

Appearing on the Stephen A. Smith podcast show, this is what Jadakiss, the former Bad Boy Artist who wrote a few hit songs for Diddy said (view video above).

What about Jay Z? He and Diddy have had a relationship that spans decades. Surely he’s come out and defended Diddy? No. He hasn’t.

And don’t hold your breath waiting on Jay Z to come out and defend Diddy. Jay Z pretty much does not speak publicly anymore, at least that’s a complaint from the Hip Hop community regarding the billionaire rapper.

FEW STANDING BY DIDDY

And don’t hold your breath waiting on Jay Z to come out and defend Diddy. Jay Z pretty much does not speak publicly anymore, at least that’s a complaint from the Hip Hop community regarding the billionaire rapper.

Although Stevie J, the former Bad Boy Records Hitmen producer and reality TV star did stick up for Diddy. He said this about his friend.

Stevie J has even gone as far as challenging 50 Cent to a fight after being taunted by the rapper for alleged sexual intercourse with Diddy.

However, Stevie J isn’t the only one defending Diddy. The billionaire’s son, Christian “King” Combs recently dropped a record defending his dad and takes shots at 50 Cent, the Feds and anybody who wants to say No Diddy.

What are your thoughts on Diddy being left to fend for himself as his friends refuse to come out in his defense? And how do you feel about Christian “King” Combs taking shots at 50 Cent and The Feds?
